Myanmar Musician League –
Spotlight Taiwan Music Festival
As the founder of the Myanmar Musician League (MML), est. 2017, and with the support of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Myanmar (TECO), Ying-Hua held a 2-day event called Spotlight Taiwan Music Festival in July, 2019, immediately following her 3rd Edition of MML Music Festival and Competition (see next page).
Led by Prof. Jocelyn Wu, the producer
of Friendly Taipei City Development Association, the members of Taipei Friendship City Choir, a 501-string orchestra, singer Una Ho, and pianist Prof Yi-Yang Chen, came all the way from Taiwan.
There was a piano masterclass with Prof. Yi-Yang Chen at the Goethe Institute and a concert, Resounding Taiwan. With Myanmar traditional musicians and artists, the Taiwanese musicians who had joined the previous festival also performed
at Resounding Taiwan.








July 1st ~ 6th,
Myanmar Musician League –
the 3rd Edition Festival and Competition 2019
Nine international musicians from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and America travelled to Yangon to give lessons and lectures in cooperation with Myanmar musicians and artists at the annual Myanmar Musician League – the 3rd Edition Festival and Competition 2019.
The 6-day event included one-on-one masterclasses and workshops from the artists, a student concert, a student competition, and a closing themed concert Beat as One, all free-of-charge and open to audit.
In 2019, there were more than 200 students from various Myanmar states. Myanmar International TV, Myanmar’s only English TV channel, documented the event and aired it for two months with their partner channels.
