Syntonic Embrace Concert Tour in June

Pianist Ying-Hua Huang and flutist Hiroshi Matsushima co-presented the ‘Syntonic Embrace’ concert tour in June, featuring two concerts in Thailand and two charitable concerts and music teaching activities in Myanmar.

Their collaboration began in 2019 when Matsushima journeyed to Myanmar and performed with Huang, who was then residing in Yangon. Plans to continue their partnership were delayed due to the pandemic and political instability, leading Huang to return to Taiwan.

Three years later, they reunited to support Myanmar’s musicians and students. The tour started in Thailand and continued in Myanmar, featuring German Romantic works in the first half and compositions by Taiwanese and Japanese artists in the second half.

June 9th & 11th

The first two ‘Syntonic Embrace’ concerts were held at Ben’s Theater Jomtien in Pattaya on 9th and Baan Plook Rak in Bangkok on 11th.

With honor, the director of the Cultural Division from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Bangkok, Mr. Yeh-Chin Kuei (桂業勤組長), and the director of Public Relations and Culture from the Japanese embassy in Bangkok, attended the Bangkok concert.

June 14th & 15th

The third and fourth ‘Syntonic Embrace’ concerts were held at Tedim Christian College and the Royal Music Academy in Yangon on June 14th and 15th. The concert at Tedim Christian College featured soprano Lian Deih Zaam, conductor Mun Khai, and the School of Music Choir.
