1. Date and Time
- The course duration is two months, with applications by the 7th of an even numbered month (February, April, etc.) with the course commencing early in the following, odd numbered month (March, May, etc.). If this schedule is unsuitable, please discuss the possibility of other timing options with the instructor.
- Each course consists of six tutorials. In the case of the Two-to-one Course, the tutorials are of two hours’ duration, while the tutorials on the One-to-one Course are of one hour duration. In both courses, the tutorials are scheduled for once a week, on a specific day and time the instructor sets in consultation with the student(s) at the beginning of the course. On the Two-to-one Course, if the instructor considers it beneficial to individual students, she may at her discretion substitute a one-hour, one-to-one tutorial for each student in place of a normal two-hour, two-student tutorial.
- If a particular course or the timetable is full, suitable applicants will be offered places on the next available course in consultation with the instructor.
- During a course, students may request from the instructor only one change to the tutorial schedule and the instructor will only grant this request if she deems it practical. On the Two-to-one Course, if this request is not accepted, each student will be offered a one-hour one-to-one tutorial in lieu of the normal arrangement of a two-hour, two-student tutorial.
- On the Two-to-one Course, if a suitable partner student is unavailable or if a paired-up student cancels, the remaining student will continue on a One-to-one Course basis of one and a half hours, one-to-one tutorials. By completing their registration, students applying for the Two-to-one Course are deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the contingency of switching to the One-to-one Course format in these circumstances.

- The application deadline is the 7th of the even-numbered months (February, April, etc.).

Refund Policy
- No portion of the fees can be refunded if a student withdraws after they have registered or if they fail to attend one or more tutorials. Students who anticipate difficulty in attending a tutorial are strongly encouraged to talk with the instructor at the earliest opportunity.
- Students who cancel their enrollment within seven full days of a course starting are eligible for a refund of 1/2 of their fee (210 USD), less any associated bank transfer fees.
- For the Two-to-one Course, if a suitable paired-up student is unavailable or if a paired-up student cancels before or during the course, the remaining student will automatically continue on a One-to-one Course basis of one and a half hours, one-to-one tutorials.
- Piano learning requires persistent focus and practice so, once enrolled, it is vital that students commit fully to the course and see it through (see Requirement 3). In so doing, students will benefit from a smooth learning experience for themselves and their paired-up student.
Recording & Submission
1. On application, each student is required to submit a recording (3-12 minutes duration) of a Western classical piano piece.
2. The recording should meet the following criteria:
- It should be of good quality with clear, undistorted sound and vision,
- The keyboard and pedals should be visible in the recording,
- The chosen piece should demonstrate proficiency in playing.
3. The recording should be uploaded to YouTube and sent as an unlisted (non-public) link.
4. If students have any questions about recording submissions, they may ask the instructor for advice and guidance.
5. On completion of registration, students are required to submit the music score of their recorded piece. This may be done with a scanned file or pictures of the score. Students may either upload the file during the registration process or send it privately to the instructor.
